Project overview

Shipped Android + iOS apps and the Node.js API powering the full modular project-management suite.

Modular, unopinionated team and project management platform for managing people, time, and work. Integrated tools for team management, time tracking, tasks, reporting, and collaboration—on web and mobile. My role: Full-Stack Engineer—architected and engineered the mobile app for Android and iOS to production using TypeScript, React Native, Kotlin, and Swift; wrote the API with Node.js and deployed to AWS; built native modules.

The challenge

A modular work platform has to connect people, time, tasks, reporting, and communication without making the web and mobile experiences feel like separate products.

The approach

The work joined a shared Node.js API with React and React Native products, adding native Android and iOS capabilities where the mobile experience required them.

01

How it works

01

Model

Define shared people, work, and time data across modules.

02

Build

Ship web, API, and mobile capabilities as one product system.

03

Integrate

Connect native services and cross-module workflows.

04

Release

Deliver Android and iOS applications alongside the web platform.

02

Key decisions

01

Share product logic across platforms

TypeScript and React Native provided a common product layer while preserving room for native platform integrations.

02

Build native where it matters

Kotlin and Swift modules handled platform-specific behavior such as notifications and offline synchronization.

03

Connect module workflows

Time, leave, tasks, reporting, and financial workflows were designed to exchange useful context instead of operating as isolated tools.
